Nissan PH teases the 2022 Terra again, confirms some new features
Just earlier today, we reported that Nissan Philippines has just teased officially for the first time the upcoming launch of the 2022 Nissan Terra, through its social media pages.
There wasn’t much to know from the first teaser apart from the facelifted model’s front lighting pattern and grille. Now, they’ve posted another teaser and this time, it confirms some new equipment that the updated model will have.
The video posted on the official Nissan Philippines Facebook page shows that the 2022 Nissan Terra will be available with leather seats with a new star-like pattern, flip-down rear monitor like on the outgoing model, a new Bose audio system and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, a new 7-inch digital display in the instrument cluster similar to that of the Navara, and a new electronic parking brake which also means that the updated Terra will now have rear disc brakes as well. Do note that some of these may be exclusive to the top-spec VL 4×4 variant.
Also based on its spy shots taken on Philippine streets, we’re expecting higher variants to come with a two-tone black and dark red interior color scheme. Also, as mentioned in our previous report, we’re expecting Nissan Philippines to retain the 2.5L YD25 turbodiesel that’s good for 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque, instead of putting in the new 2.3L twin-turbo diesel found in other markets.
With this launch expected to come very soon, we’re definitely excited to see what’s in store for Filipino car buyers in the next few months, especially with Isuzu Philippines also launching the next generation of its entry in the segment very soon as well.
