Nissan teases new X-Trail

After a series of leaks and a teaser together with other future models, Nissan has released another teaser but only for the next generation Rogue, which is known as the X-Trail in our market. They have also announced a reveal date which is in a few days.

The image shows pretty much what to expect from the crossover but without the details. It looks, just like in the other teaser, pretty much the same as what you’ll see in the previous leaks. Very clear are the signature V-Motion grille and split headlight design.

We don’t know yet what exact specifications the new X-Trail/Rogue will be getting but a previous leak did mention the possibility of an engine with 180 hp and 237 Nm of torque. The figures are an increase of 11 hp and 4 Nm respectively. There is no information in the report as to whether this will be from a new powertrain or will still be the same 2.5-liter engine. Based on current trends however, the powertrain could either be a new 2.0-liter turbo or a hybrid system. It could also get Nissan’s E-Power system which made it crossover debut on the 2021 Kicks subcompact crossover.

The current generation Nissan X-Trail is powered by a choice of either a 2.0-liter gas engine with 142 hp and 200 Nm of torque, or a 2.5-liter gas engine with 169 hp and 233 Nm of torque.

The all-new Nissan Rogue/X-Trail will be officially revealed on June 15, 2020 at 9:00 AM E.D.T (9:00 PM Philippine Standard Time) on the Nissan News USA website.
