Photos of the PH-spec 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer have surfaced online
A few days before it is set to be officially launched in the country, photos of the local-spec next generation Chevrolet Trailblazer have found their way online. The new model is scheduled for a launch on October 24, 2021.
Posted by a handful of excited Chevrolet sales executives on Facebook Marketplace, the photos show the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer in its top-spec Premier variant, parked inside a Chevy dealership.
We still don’t know what exact specifications the Philippine-spec 2022 Trailblazer will have once it’s launched in a few days but the photos do show what look like LED projector headlights and LED daytime running lights, either 17- or 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels wrapped in Continental tires, and leather seats.
Less obvious but visible are those in the buttons and controls. We’re seeing buttons and controls for adaptive cruise control or autonomous emergency braking, automatic high beams, heated seats and heated steering wheel, and automatic climate control. A video has also surfaced showing a power tailgate.
Chevrolet Philippines has confirmed a few features and equipment such as the 8-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity (also seen in the photos), variants which will be the LT and Premier, as well as the powertrain.
The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will be powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired to a CVT as confirmed by Chevy Philippines. The marketplace posts by the sales executives do mention that it will produce 155 horsepower and 236 Nm of torque. A quick look in the internet though will show that this powertrain should produce 162 hp and 240 Nm of torque.
No pricing has been confirmed yet but separate Marketplace posts also says that the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Premier variant will be priced at Php 1,488,888 in typical Chevrolet Philippines fashion. This might not be the actual pricing though so we should take it with a grain of salt.
The launch of the all-new 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is just a few days away. By then, we can see all the different specifications and features, plus pricing that the local spec will have.
