Refreshed Peugeot 3008 launched in PH for Php 2.09M
Fresh from its relaunch under a new joint venture in the Philippine market and the launch of the 5008 crossover SUV, Peugeot Philippines is introducing another model in its refreshed lineup, the updated 3008 compact crossover. This comes more than a year since it was introduced in other foreign markets.
Also sourced from Malaysia, the Peugeot 3008 is smaller and more compact, set to compete with the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson, just to name a few, but with a more premium touch.
“We are thrilled to launch the New PEUGEOT 3008 SUV, which is our next step in the revitalization of the PEUGEOT line-up in the Philippines. This vehicle is a leader in the compact SUV market with an outstanding commercial performance in Europe and internationally. We are confident that its success will carry on in the Philippines,” said Maricar Parco, Peugeot Philippines Brand Head.
Outside, the refreshed Peugeot 3008 features the French automaker’s fiercer and bolder signature design language. Features in front are a frameless front grille, LED headlights, and a new bumper. On the side are 18-inch ‘Los Angeles’ alloy wheels. The back isn’t as extensively redesigned but comes with full 3D claw LED taillights with new sequential turn indicators.
Inside, the refreshed 3008 features an updated version of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit, similar to that of the larger 5008. Among its features are a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, and leather seats.
Under the hood, just like the larger 5008, the Peugeot 3008 is powered by a 1.6-liter Twin-Scroll THP (Turbo High Pressure) Inline 4-Cylinder Petrol Engine that produces 165 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of safety, other than the usual safety features like 6 airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, etc., the refreshed 3008 also gets blindspot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention alert.
