Rejoice, the Hyundai Elantra N now comes with a manual in the PH

For those looking for a relatively affordable manual transmission sports car, your choices are limited to the likes of the Honda Civic Type R, the Nissan Z, the Mazda MX-5, the Toyota GR 86, and the GR Yaris.
The Hyundai Elantra N is another car that has been on the shortlist of many enthusiasts, but most did not look at it because it lacked a manual transmission option, at least in our market.

That was true until today, when Hyundai Motor Philippines quietly added the option for buyers to purchase the sedan with a six-speed manual transmission at no additional cost, meaning the 2.0T 6MT option now costs Php 2,638,000.

You can still get the standard eight-speed, wet dual-clutch transmission, but that has been bumped up by Php 100,000 over the manual variant, so the 2.0T 8DCT variant costs Php 2,738,000.

Apart from that, nothing really has changed between the two. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 280 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque is still present, alongside the N-exclusive aero bits with the spoiler, 19-inch alloy wheels, and the dual 10.25-inch screens inside with N-exclusive interior trims and N bucket seats.
