SLEX, STAR Tollway toll fees to increase effective Jan. 1, 2026

Heads up, motorists! Toll fees are set to increase for those traveling on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) beginning this coming January 1, 2026 (Thursday) at 6:00 AM.

Travelers on the two southern Luzon expressways, operated and maintained by SMC Infrastructure, will have to shell-out more cash after the New Year celebrations’ toll holiday from 10:00 PM of December 31, 2025 to 6:00 AM of January 1, 2026, as announced by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

The new toll fees will be as follows for travelers on the SLEX:

Alabang to Calamba

  • Class 1 – Php 126 (+Php 10)
  • Class 2 – Php 253 (+Php 21)
  • Class 3 – Php 379 (+Php 31)

Calamba to Sto.Tomas

  • Class 1 – Php 34 (+Php 3)
  • Class 2 – Php 68 (+Php 5)
  • Class 3 – Php 102 (+Php 8)

Meanwhile, for travelers on STAR Tollway, the new toll fees will be as follows:

Sto. Tomas to Lipa

  • Class 1 – Php 60 (+Php 5)
  • Class 2 – Php 119 (+Php 9)
  • Class 3 – Php 179 (+Php 14)

Lipa to Batangas

  • Class 1 – Php 53 (+Php 4)
  • Class 2 – Php 106 (+Php 8)
  • Class 3 – Php 159 (+Php 12)

The TRB says that the increase in toll fees “will ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and improvements” of the two expressways. SMC Infrastructure has been conducting expansion works since 2023, supposedly to be completed in June of this year, yet work remains unfinished at the time of this writing in December 2025.
