Sporty Azkarra? Geely unveils Boyue X

1 min read

If you thought the Geely Azkarra, known as the Boyue Pro in China, looked good, well it’s gonna get better. Geely has just unveiled the Boyue X, wearing the company’s latest design language.

The Boyue Pro was first introduced in China for the 2019 model year. It was subsequently introduced in the Philippines in 2020. Following Geely’s new “Energy Storm” design language from the Vision Stardust concept, the Boyue X is targeted at younger buyers.

The main difference of the X from the Pro is the new grille and bumper design. Geely has gone away from the Expanding Cosmos grille and has replaced it with what appears to be a combination of Lexus’ spindle grille and Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield. The bumper on the other hand gets a sharper look with new side intakes with orange accents. The Boyue X also rides on a new set of 19” blacked-out alloy wheels. At the back, the faux diffuser is slightly redesigned with a more pronounced look.

Inside, not much is different. Changes are more on the colors such as the new Beluga Blue and white color scheme. The Boyue X still maintains a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system as with the rest of the interior.

It is not known whether the new Boyue X will be the base for the facelifted Azkarra such as for the Philippine market. For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
