Subaru PH Is Launching The Evoltis Soon

One of the many car launches that unfortunately did not happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic was that of the Subaru Evoltis. Known as the Ascent in the North American market, the Evoltis was supposed to enter our market last year until the worst happened.

Now, Motor Image Pilipinas, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the region has teased on its official Facebook page that it will be launching the new model soon and while no date is seen on the post, other motoring media sources say it will happen on April 12, 2021.

Not much is known as to what exact specifications the mid-size crossover will get once it arrives in our country. Other motoring media websites as well as the official teaser does say that it will have a 7-passenger seating capacity as opposed to eight which is also available in North America. This means it is likely to receive 2nd row captains chairs.

Under the hood, it will most probably be powered by the same 2.4L turbocharged Boxer engine that produces 260 hp and 376 Nm of torque paired to a Lineartronic CVT. Power will of course be sent to all four wheels as with all Subarus.

In terms of safety, we expect it to be equipped with Subaru EyeSight, the company’s suite of driver-assist features which include adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking, among others.

There is also no information on pricing but it will most likely be under Php 4-million according to various sources.
