Suzuki Fronx achieves five-star ASEAN NCAP rating

Considering the Suzuki Fronx as your next new vehicle? Well, here’s some good news. The subcompact crossover has just received a five-star safety rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP).

Fun fact, or maybe not, the Suzuki Fronx is the first model from the Japanese automaker to be tested by the ASEAN NCAP after six years. The last model to be tested was the Suzuki Ertiga in 2019.

Testing was based on the ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 assessment protocol, which is currently in its final months. Under this, the Suzuki Fronx gained a total of 77.70 points out of 100 points.

Per category, it achieved 36.71 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, 15.27 points in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, 15.71 points in the Safety Assist (SA) category, and 10.00 points in the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category.

This feat can be attributed to the subcompact crossover’s expansive list of safety equipment, which includes six airbags, stability control, ABS, seatbelt reminder system for all occupants, and ISOFIX childseat anchors, which are all standard across the board. Also offered, depending on the variant, are various advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).
