Suzuki PH improves Jimny’s safety and tech for 2026

Let’s face it, the Suzuki Jimny may feel rather expensive to some with what it offers when it comes to standard equipment, plus its continuous price increases when demand for the little off-roader was high a couple of years ago.

Suzuki Philippines wants to give their customers their money’s worth by giving a new update to one of their most iconic nameplates for 2026, particularly for the 3-Door version which has remained largely the same since its local introduction in 2018.

What’s new for this update?

The most important bit is that all 3-Door variants of the Jimny now get Suzuki Safety Support as standard. This equips them with various advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) through a monocular camera and millimetre-wave radar sensor.

The suite includes features such as autonomous emergency braking (Dual Sensor Brake Support II), adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention and lane departure warning, Weaving Alert, and automatic high beams (High Beam Assist). Front side airbags and curtain airbags, along with front parking sensors are now standard as well, and the GL trim also now gets a reverse camera.

Outside of safety, the GLX trim now gets a new nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system which now comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a new color multi-info display replacing the old segmented LCD display. The front grille and bumper also receive a minor redesign to accommodate the radar for the Suzuki Safety Support system.

The best part about these updates is that pricing has increased only by Php 35,000 compared to the pre-update versions. Full pricing is now as follows:

  • Jimny 3-Door GL M/T SS – Php 1,293,000
  • Jimny 3-Door GLX A/T SS – Php 1,355,000
  • Jimny 3-Door GLX Two-Tone A/T SS – Php 1,365,000

Do you think these changes make the Suzuki Jimny 3-Door a more desirable option?
