Tesla corners 54% of PH electric vehicle market

After just one year in the Philippine market, Tesla has a lot to celebrate, especially with it cornering a majority market share in the local electric vehicle (EV) category.

The American EV manufacturer, which entered our market in November 2024, has been able to capture 54% of all new battery electric vehicles (BEV) sold in the country, based on data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) as of November 2025.

More than 2,200 units of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y have found homes in the Philippines, making the company the top-selling EV brand in the country, at least among CAMPI members.

In addition, the Model 3 and Model Y were also able to gain top energy efficiency ratings compared to other vehicles on the market at the Department of Energy (DOE) Fuel Economy Run 2025, where BEVs, plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and ICE vehicles participated.

The Tesla Model 3 RWD is the most efficient vehicle in the Philippine market with an efficiency rating of 92.31km/Lge (kilometers per liter of gasoline equivalent), while the Tesla Model Y RWD gained 84.31km/Lge. You can check out the full results of the DOE Fuel Economy Run 2025 here
