Tesla PH quietly introduces Long Range RWD models for the 3 and Y

If you’re one of those people who believes in the “new year, new car” saying, then you’ll be ringing in the new year with two more practical choices from Tesla Philippines, as they quietly introduced the Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) variants for both its Model 3 and Model Y.

These two comfortably slot in between the base RWD and Long Range AWD variants, with the Model 3 Long Range RWD starting at Php 2,343,000, and the Model Y Long Range RWD starting at Php 2,594,000.

Compared to the base RWD variant, both Long Range RWD variants come mainly with a larger 78.1kWh battery, bringing the range of the Model 3 up to 750km, while the larger Model Y’s range gets bumped up to 661km.

Other than a new Marine Blue color for the Model 3 (a Php 66,000 addition), there isn’t that much difference feature-wise from the base variants, but the larger battery does allow for a slightly faster 0-100kph time, 5.2 seconds for the Model 3, and 5.6 seconds for the Model Y, and faster Supercharging times, adding up to 274km in 15 minutes (at least for the Model Y).

You can order these now via Tesla’s website, and deliveries are estimated to be in 2-3 months from the date of order, as Tesla builds each car to the person’s desired specifications.
