The first weekend of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup wraps up

The first weekend of this year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup took place last March 22 at the Clark International Speedway, where several new changes were first seen with the series.

New racers such as Sim Racer and Autocross Challenge graduate Luis Moreno made their debut in the Novice class, while the Legacy Class brought out older-generation Toyota Vios race cars, including notable participants such as Senator JV Ejercito and Paolo Ang, a former runner-up of the 2021 and 2023 Sporting Class.

For non-race car events, GR and Lexus owners experienced the track, and a first-ever Club Race that saw owners of the GR 86, GR Supra, and GR Yaris go head to head with each other to see who was the fastest.

Apart from a two-car GR 86 drifting exhibition, the updated GR Yaris also made its track debut.

The activity area held many events, such as the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup experience sim area, die-cast cars for sale, and a musical performance from the
