The Honda CR-V RS e:HEV is doing very well in PH
It seems like Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) is once again gaining success as it announced how its models performed in 2024.
The announcement was made by HCPI President Rie Miyake at a recent thanksgiving party hosted by the Japanese automaker for the local motoring media and content creator community.
No exact figures were provided just yet but for 2024, the Honda CR-V has seen around 1,800 units sold, accounting for a 51% increase in sales versus the previous year. Of that sales figure, around 1,200 units or about 67% of units are of the top-spec RS e:HEV variant—the brand’s hybrid electric vehicle offering in recent times.
With that, the company is now banking on the success of its electrification shift, starting with the launch of the Civic RS e:HEV at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), followed by the upcoming launch of the HR-V RS e:HEV which was previewed during the media thanksgiving party.
For the Japanese automaker’s other models, the BR-V subcompact MPV remains their top-seller with over 5,000 units sold, followed by the City subcompact sedan with over 3,000 units. The HR-V subcompact crossover saw an 18% year-on-year increase in sales while the Honda City Hatchback saw a 25% increase.
Which Honda model do you think should gain electrification next? City? BR-V? What about the return of the Accord in e:HEV form? Hmmm.
