The Kia EV6 has been discontinued in PH

While Kia Philippines continues to hype up the upcoming launch of the fully electric EV5 crossover, and while different automakers are introducing new all-electric offerings left and right, there are some changes going on at the Korean automaker’s electric lineup.
What exactly? The Kia EV6 appears to have been discontinued, quietly taken off the official Kia Philippines website. But why does this matter? Well, the compact crossover was the brand’s first all-electric model not only in the Philippines where it was launched in March of 2023, but in the whole world.
As for the reason for its discontinuation, we have yet to find out. We have reached out to Kia Philippines to confirm the discontinuation of the EV6, but have not yet received a response as of this writing. We shall update this article to reflect what they’ll have to say once that becomes available.
One possibility though is that Kia Philippines may also be preparing to introduce the facelifted version of the EV6 which was revealed in South Korea back in 2024. This comes with revised front fascia, new wheel designs, updated interior, and upgraded battery pack.

Since launch, the Kia EV6 retained its Php 3,788,000 retail price for its lone GT-Line Long Range variant which was powered by a 224 horsepower electric motor and a 77.4kWh battery that provided a 528km driving range. It also offered features such as a curved display, Meridian premium sound system, and a full suite of advanced driver-assist systems, among others.
