The Land Rover Defender Octa is the toughest Defender yet for Php 24.590M

If Land Rover Philippines revealed the most powerful street-oriented Range Rover Sport, it’s also unveiling its toughest off-roader yet in the Defender Octa. This comes in two variants, the base Octa for Php 24,590,000, and the Octa Edition One priced at Php 26,590,000.

Available only in the 110 body style (five-door), it sits 28mm taller and 68mm wider compared to the standard model. It needs those massive fender flares to fit the massive 33-inch Goodyear Advanced All-Terrain tires, especially when fitted with the 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

Additional grilles for airflow, off-road optimized bodywork, aluminum bash plates finished in graphite, Phosphor Bronze front and rear recovery points, and a quad-tip active exhaust set it apart.

Available finishes for the standard Octa are Charente Gray and Petra Copper, but the Edition One variant introduces the Faroe Green or Carpathian Gray hues, and even chopped carbon fiber detailing found inside and out.

Like the Range Rover Sport SV, it shares the same BMW-sourced, mild-hybrid 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 with a power output of 635 horsepower and 750Nm of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends it to all four wheels. Top speed is up to 250kph when fitted with 22-inch wheels and all-season tires.

The 6D Dynamics air suspension system foregoes traditional anti-roll bars for advanced dampers and hydraulics systems to help reduce pitch and body roll on the road, but in this case, it aids with wheel articulation off-road. It also features improved approach (40 degrees) and departure (42.8 degrees) angles, a maximum ride height of 323mm, and a wading depth of up to 1 meter.

Being a Land Rover, it comes with fully equipped luxuries inside such as either semi-aniline leather or Ultrasuede (Octa Edition one only) upholstery, 14-way power-adjustable, heated and cooled Performance Seats with a chopped carbon fiber seatback, or Land Rover’s Body and Soul seats (BASS) technology with integrated speakers to improve the experience from the Meridian Surround Sound system.

Finally, it has a complete advanced driver assistance system with additional off-road functionality (like Terrain Response and ClearSight Ground View) and even a cooled front compartment.
