The Nissan Kait is a new Brazilian-made crossover for automaker’s global portfolio

One thing that flew under the radar at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 was that Nissan confirmed the addition of a brand-new member of its global portfolio, and that this car would be produced at the Nissan Industrial Complex in Resende, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This is the Nissan Kait, and apart from a few teaser images and key points, Nissan has chosen to stay mum about this car until its official launch. What we do know is that the automaker says that it offers “ample interior space for passengers and luggage” thanks to a wheelbase that measures 2,620mm, a trunk capacity of 432L, and a total length of around 4,300mm— very similar to those of the current Nissan Kicks.

The teaser images given by the automaker show a very edgy and hexagonal design, which looks very reminiscent of its concept cars from the Japan Mobility Show 2023, but eagle-eyed readers will notice that it also has a lot of design cues like the Kicks.
Whether or not this will be an electrified vehicle that will utilize the e-Power powertrain, or maybe a more affordable or higher-end alternative to the Nissan Kicks, only Nissan truly knows what this is. Should Nissan Philippines introduce this to our market when it gets revealed?
