The Nissan Leaf is finally launching in PH on May 9

After not just weeks, not months, but years of teasing and previews, Nissan Philippines is electrifying its lineup by finally introducing the Leaf, one of the world’s bestselling fully-electric vehicles.

The Leaf was originally set to be introduced locally last year however its launch was postponed indefinitely by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Being of the world’s best selling electric vehicles, Nissan has sold over 500,000 examples of the Leaf around the world from when it first made its world debut until September last year.

There is no announcement yet as to what exact specifications and features the local market Nissan Leaf will be getting as standard but we are expecting them to remain very similar, if not the same as current Leaf test drive units plying Philippine roads. What we do know is that it will have an electric motor with a driving range of 311 kilometers under a full charge.

For now, we’ll have to wait until May 9, 2021 to find out what’s in-store for the local-spec Leaf once launched. Nissan Philippines will be officially introducing the Leaf then via its official Facebook page and YouTube channel at 2:00 PM PST.
