The PH-spec Toyota bZ4X will be sourced from Japan

When news of the Toyota bZ4X’s local arrival broke the internet, people were quick to criticize that the Japanese automaker’s first fully electric model for our market would be sourced from China.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is also quick to respond, denying those claims and formally announcing that the bZ4X will in fact be sourced from the company’s Motomachi Plant in Aichi, Japan.

Also already previously announced, TMP will be making available the bZ4X at select dealerships: Toyota Alabang, Toyota Commonwealth, Toyota Global City, Toyota Mabolo Cebu, Toyota Makati, Toyota Manila Bay, Toyota Mandaue South, Toyota North EDSA, Toyota Pasig, Toyota Quezon Avenue, Toyota San Fernando, and Toyota Santa Rosa.

The Toyota bZ4X is the brand’s first modern-day EV, having its world debut in April 2021, with sales beginning the following year. It then made its first Philippine appearance at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
