The Suzuki e Vitara could be on its way to PH, initial specs now available

The Suzuki Vitara has been absent from the Philippine market for a few years now, but it looks like it’s set to make a comeback, albeit with a slightly different twist, one with an “e” in its name.
Well, it seems like the Suzuki e Vitara may be coming to the Philippines very soon as Suzuki Philippines has released on their official website the initial specifications for what will be their first-ever fully electric offering in our market.
The Japanese automaker may also be trying to build some hype for their fully electric subcompact crossover as Toyota Motor Philippines has already confirmed the arrival of the e Vitara-based Toyota Urban Cruiser in our market this year. Here’s what we know so far.

For starters, the e Vitara will come in a GLX variant, just like the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Interestingly, the website states “Discover the freedom of true 4×4 SUV capability,” however, specifications are only listed for a front-wheel drive variant.
That comes powered by a single front electric motor that produces 174 horsepower (128kW) and 193Nm of torque. Maximum speed is rated at 150kph, and 0 to 100kph acceleration time is estimated at 8.7 seconds.
On a single full charge, it will be capable of driving up to 426km. Battery capacity isn’t mentioned but we can expect that to be a 61kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery, and it will support CCS2 DC fast charging and Type 2 AC charging.

As for measurements, these sit at 4,275mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,635mm tall, while riding on a 2,700mm wheelbase. The difference in length compared to the Toyota Urban Cruiser is likely due to design differences such as the front bumper. Cargo capacity is also listed at 306L with the second row seats in use.

As for standard equipment, available information mentions that the e Vitara will come with 18-inch wheels, all-automatic windows, automatic climate control, and a wireless phone charger, among others.
It will also come with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), composed of adaptive cruise control, multi-collision braking, lane departure prevention, and lane keep assist, just to name a few. Seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera will also be included as standard.

Local pricing for the Suzuki e Vitara, as well as a launch date, are not yet available as of this writing. Considering that initial details are already available, a launch could happen within the coming months. Perhaps at the upcoming 2026 Manila International Auto Show in April? We’ll surely update you once more news comes in.
