The updated Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has been spotted in the country
The current generation Mitsubishi Mirage has been around for almost a decade now, first launched locally in 2012. Its sedan counterpart, the Mirage G4, was introduced a year later. Since then, not much has changed with Mitsubishi’s hatchback and sedan, with the latter only receiving minor updates since its introduction, while the former getting a major update in 2016.
Well it looks like we’ll finally be seeing another update soon, and a big one. The updated Mitsubishi Mirage G4 was spotted in the country, in Pasig City to be specific. The unit was seen carried on a flatbed in a parking area with “Mirage G4” vanity plates, meaning it was probably being transported to a shoot for a television commercial or advertisement. The photo was posted on the Interesting Car Spotting PH Facebook Group by user Earl Justin.
Back in 2019, the most significant update to the B-segment hatchback and sedan was revealed in Thailand. This puts it in line with the rest of the Mitsubishi Motors lineup, giving it the Japanese brand’s signature Dynamic Shield front fascia and a host of other updates.
Some features added to the Mirage lineup in Thailand include safety features such as forward collision mitigation system and radar sensing forward mitigation. That’s on top of aesthetic upgrades done and new equipment such as LED projector headlights with daytime running lights and LED taillights.
With the current generation Mirage and Mirage G4 manufactured locally at Mitsubishi Motors’ Sta. Rosa, Laguna plant, and with a unit already spotted in the country, it definitely won’t be long until the updated Mirage family is officially launched.
