These five new Toyota models will launch in PH this year

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) ended 2025 with 229,447 units sold. Unsurprisingly, they remain as the number one brand in the local market, sitting comfortably distant from market disruptors such as BYD which has found itself at third.
But TMP knows that there is no room for complacency. That’s why, in an unusual move, the company announced at a recent press conference at the Grand Hyatt Manila what’s lined up for a local launch throughout the year, and there’s gonna be five, with one of them already previewed to the local motoring media community.
These are the following, along with what we can expect from each:

Toyota Urban Cruiser
First is the Toyota Urban Cruiser which will be the brand’s second fully electric offering in our market. Already previewed to local motoring media, this is built in collaboration with Suzuki, based on the e Vitara and its Heartect-e platform.
Once launched, it may come powered by a single electric motor capable of 174 horsepower and 193Nm of torque, paired to a 61kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery that allows for up to 426km of range on a single charge.

Toyota RAV4

A fairly well-awaited launch for Toyota Motor Philippines is for the all-new sixth generation of the RAV4 compact crossover which has been redesigned from the ground up, now wearing Toyota’s signature Hammerhead design language, and an interior that focuses on better usability.
Based on available information, this could come in two variants—LTD HEV and ADV HEV—both powered by a hybrid powertrain composed of a 2.5-liter engine and 100kW electric motor, and a 1.09kWh lithium-ion battery, along with returning all-wheel drive (AWD).

Toyota Land Cruiser 300 HEV
Here’s something that’s getting a lot of people excited—the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 HEV. While the Japanese automaker’s flagship SUV offering in the local market has always been known for its large and powerful V6 or V8 turbodiesel engines, things are about to change as TMP prepares to launch its hybrid version.

We can expect this to come with some design changes to set it apart from the non-hybrid variants, but more importantly, this is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo gasoline V6 engine, paired to a 40kW electric motor and 1.87kWh battery, shared with the Lexus LX 700h. Combined, the system produces a healthy 463 horsepower and 790Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ

And while plenty are excited with the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 HEV, the smaller and more mainstream Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is already winning the hearts of car enthusiasts in the country.
Built on the long-running Toyota IMV platform, the Land Cruiser FJ is a retro-modern SUV that’s meant to fill in the void left by the discontinued FJ Cruiser. While its Hilux and Fortuner underpinnings may leave some wanting more, its engine is all Land Cruiser, powered by the tried-and-tested 2.7-liter 2TR-FE four-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine that produces 163 horsepower and 246Nm of torque.

Toyota Hilux
TMP isn’t gonna keep customers of its bestselling pickup truck waiting. Also coming this year is the all-new ninth generation Toyota Hilux which was revealed for the Thai market in November last year with loads of changes, including the almost completely new exterior, a revamped interior, along with a host of mechanical upgrades.
Most will want a traditional pickup truck feel through the 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbodiesel engine, which could come in pure-ICE or mild-hybrid versions, or even the new all-electric version. TMP did however say that they will be launching three electrified models this year, which counts the Hilux BEV, and probably even the mild-hybrid turbodiesel, out, given that they also announced the all-electric Urban Cruiser, and hybrid versions of the RAV4 and Land Cruiser 300.
Anyway, you can read more about the all-new Toyota Hilux here as there is still a lot to look forward to from this potential bestseller.

There is no doubt that Toyota Motor Philippines will still be able to retain its number one crown for our market. With its salvo of models for this year, do you think they can widen the gap?
