This new Toyota color is one we can’t have in PH (officially)

In recent times, you’ll be able to observe that roads and parking lots have become a sea of boring and basic car colors. White, black, silver, gray? Everyone has those. Toyota, however, wants to stand out with its newest color option.
Meet Wave Maker, developed for the Japanese automaker’s TRD Pro lineup of off-road and adventure-oriented models for the North American market by the company’s CALTY Design team. Yes, only for them, not for us in Southeast Asia.
This new shade of blue joins the brand’s 10 other bold and unique color offerings which includes the eye-catching Electric Lime Metallic which first came out with the Tacoma TRD Pro in 2022. Toyota says that it “tells a unique story of artistic vision and the relentless pursuit of innovation.”
Toyota’s other colors have been warm and natural in terms of hue, inspired by earthy landscapes. The new Wave Maker paint job is inspired by glaciers and unexplored areas of the world.

Wave Maker will definitely be making waves, to be available on TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia, all models we don’t get here in the Philippines, starting the latter half of the year. However, given how North American spec Toyotas are quite popular in the local grey market, we won’t be surprised to see a few examples of TRD Pro models running on our streets in this loud hue.
