Toyota gives the bZ4X a nip-and-tuck

Toyota seems to be on a big streak today, as it introduced several substantial updates to its e-TNGA platform electric vehicles and an all-new model in the CH-R+.
The biggest changes are the updates made to the e-TNGA platform, where the increased maximum range of up to 573km is a result of many updates.

These include two new battery capacities, improved eAxles with silicon carbide semiconductors for better power delivery, updated suspension, and chassis tuning for improved noise and vibration levels, comfort, and driving dynamics, and a new 22kW on-board AC charger and battery pre-conditioning for improved charging speeds and performance.
Three different powertrains and battery capacities are available, such as:
- 57.7 kWh and 167 horsepower (123kW), front-wheel drive
- 73.1 kWh and 224 horsepower (165kW), front-wheel drive
- 73.1 kWh and 343 horsepower (252kW), all-wheel drive

Aside from that, the bZ4x’s design has been sharpened up (quite literally) with a revised front bumper, new slimmer and sharper “hammerhead” headlights that move the main beams to the bumpers, new two-tone multi-spoke wheels, and slightly longer rear roof fins.

The interior updates include a new center console design, a larger 14-inch infotainment lifted from Lexus models, and an updated instrument panel design.
Toyota Motor Philippines teased the older bZ4x at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show, so it means the arrival of the model in our country is imminent, but it would make more sense to debut it with this updated variant.
