Toyota Hilux G, Conquest, and GR-S trims receive upgrades in PH

A little over a month ago, we reported that Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has updated its price list as well as gave its popular Hilux pickup truck a handful of upgrades. Well now it’s officially official as the company announced the update a few days ago.

While nothing has changed in terms of design and performance, the updates TMP has given to select variants of its popular pickup truck should allow it to stay competitive in the very crowded segment which it currently leads with a 43% market share.

To be specific, the upgrades can be found on the G, Conquest, and GR Sport (GR-S) trim levels. For starters, the G variants now get tailgate assist and a bedliner as standard. This was previously only found standard on the Conquest and GR-S. Meanwhile, the Conquest 4×2 and 4×4, and GR-S, now get steering wheel cruise control and lane departure alert switches for more convenient operation of those functions. The GR-S also gets new rear A/C vents for better rear passenger comfort.

In addition to those convenience and comfort bits, safety is also upgraded on the Conquest and GR-S trims as they now get Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) as standard. This suite of advanced driver-assistance safety technology equips both trims with Pre-Collision

System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert. Exclusive to the GR-S, on the other hand, is a Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Everything else remains the same for the popular pickup truck such as powertrain options of 2.4- or 2.8L turbodiesels depending on the variant, as well as all other standard equipment per variant.

Price for these upgraded variants of the Toyota Hilux starts at Php 1,285,000 for the G, Php 1,468,000 for the Conquest, and Php 2,039,000 for the GR-S. They are also now available at all Toyota dealerships nationwide.
