Toyota is set to reveal a new EV soon

It’s no secret that Toyota has somewhat been left behind when it comes to full EVs, only having the bZ4x compact crossover, and a few other models that are exclusive to the Chinese market. Instead, the Japanese automaker has kept its focus on hybrids which have been selling very well for the brand, not just here in the Philippines, but elsewhere in the globe.
Well, it looks like the company wants to have more of the EV space after all, releasing a teaser showing its latest and upcoming fully-electric model for the European market, and it certainly looks attractive.
Check out the teaser video below:
Based on what we’re seeing, the all-new all-electric Toyota will be another crossover with coupé-like styling just like what we already see on Lexus RZ. Also very visible are sleek body lines as well as Toyota’s signature Hammerhead design for the front fascia similar to that of the Urban Cruiser, Camry, and C-HR.

There is an AWD badge as well which could very well mean that this will have a dual electric motor setup.
It is also likely to be the production version of the bZ Compact SUV concept which was revealed in 2022, and will also likely be built on the e-TNGA platform which underpins the bZ4x, bZ3, Subaru Solterra, and Lexus RZ.

Toyota highlighted in their press release this new model’s “elevated driving dynamics and surprising space, comfort and versatility.” At least that gives us something to look forward to.
We don’t know much but we don’t have to wait too long as Toyota Europe will be doing the full unveiling this coming March 12, 2025, which is just two weeks from this writing.
