Toyota Motor PH sold a record-breaking 218,019 vehicles in 2024, Lexus is top-selling luxury brand
It may not come as a surprise that Toyota is once again the best-selling automotive brand in the Philippines but for 2024, the Japanese automaker has reached record-breaking sales figures.
Announced by Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) Chairman Alfred V. Ty at the company’s annual media thanksgiving party, the Japanese automaker was able to sell a total of 218,019 vehicles in our market.
That figure is a 9% increase compared to the previous year and accounts for a market share of 46.66%.
It also puts the Philippine market in third place for the Japanese automaker’s sales in the ASEAN Region after Indonesia and Thailand, 5th in the Asia-Pacific, and 10th in the world.
As for Lexus, the company’s luxury division, a total of 2,263 units found new homes. That’s an increase of 27% and once again crowns the brand as the best-selling luxury marque in the country for 2024.
In 2024, TMP expanded its lineup with the launch of the refreshed Corolla Cross, all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J250) and Camry, and the much-awaited Tamaraw. Lexus Philippines, meanwhile, launched its new entry-level LBX, all-electric UX300e, and the all-new GX.
