Toyota Motor PH expands Tamaraw line with new conversion options

Business owners considering the reborn Toyota Tamaraw now have more options to choose from as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has introduced additional conversion variants, less than a year since it made its local debut.

Designed for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the new conversion variants are as follows, and all based on the long-wheelbase bodystyle:

• Tamaraw 2.4 Wing Van M/T – Php 1,450,000
• Tamaraw 2.4 Mobile Store M/T – Php 1,490,000
• Tamaraw 2.4 Food Truck M/T – Php 1,540,000

While keeping a similar featurelist with other variants, such as halogen headlights, steel wheels, and a 2DIN audio head unit (with bluetooth and USB connectivity), these new variants also come with the addition of an industrial plug and circuit breaker.

As for variant specific stuff, the Tamaraw Wing Van will work best for customers in delivery, logistics, and car detailing businesses. It features a spacious cargo area housed in a fiberglass plastic body, with three-side wing doors and side compartments with locks.

Meanwhile, the Tamaraw Mobile Store is basically a moving store, as its name suggests. It is built using aluminum composite panels, and features a functional cabinet windbreaker for additional storage inside.

Finally, the Tamaraw Food Truck similar to the Tamaraw Mobile Store, but is designed for businesses in the food and beverage industry. It can be used for cafés, catering, and pop-up restaurants. Among its features are a kitchen-ready layout with food-grade interiors, a water tank with pump, and a wastewater tank.

Both the Tamaraw Mobile Store and Food Truck are also equipped with a side-opening window with struts, a foldable table, light fixtures, and rear jackstands to keep them safely in place.

As with other Tamaraw LWB variants, these three new variants are powered by a 2.4-liter 2GD-FTV four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that makes 150 horsepower and 350Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The six-speed automatic transmission is still exclusive to the top-spec GL variant.

The new Toyota Tamaraw Wing Van, Mobile Store, and Food Truck are now available at all 75 Toyota dealerships in the country.
