Toyota Motor PH increases prices, updates Hilux

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has announced that it has given its lineup some updates in both model specifications and pricing. The company attributes the pricing changes to the weakening Philippine Peso (Php) as well as other factors. Meanwhile, the Hilux also receives some updates to its lineup.

Meanwhile for the Hilux, it gets a handful of upgrades on all variants except on the J and E grades. The G variants of the Hilux now get tailgate assist which should make opening and closing the tailgate easier, and a bedliner as standard.

On the other hand, the Hilux Conquest 4×2 and 4×4 variants now come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), a suite of advanced driver-assistance technology. This gives it autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control (only for A/T variants), and lane departure alert. The top-spec Hilux GR Sport 4×4 gets blindspot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Of course, additional features means an increased price. Do take note that the price increases are not due to the recently approved removal of the exemption of excise taxes on pickup trucks. Anyway, the updated Toyota Hilux lineup is priced as follows:

  • Hilux 2.4 G 4×2 M/T – Php 1,285,000
