Toyota Motor PH introduces a new variant for the Yaris Cross HEV

Toyota Motor Philippines may be going all in with its other hybrid vehicles, but one of the automaker’s more popular crossovers, the Yaris Cross, has just gotten a new variant in the form of the SE HEV.

Priced at Php 1,690,000, it’s Php 80,000 more than the current top-of-the-line S HEV, but it comes with a few unique bits to set it apart.

On the outside, the Toyota Yaris Cross SE HEV comes with a front lip, gloss black grille garnish, chrome fog light garnish, rear tailgate garnish, an extended tailgate spoiler, and gloss black rear bumper trim. Of course, it also comes with an SE badge.

Changes inside include a digital rearview mirror with a built-in rear video recorder, additional ambient lighting colors, an upgraded horn, and a digital signal processor (DSP) to give the Pioneer sound system extra oomph.

Aside from that, the rest of the car is mostly unchanged inside and out, including the 1.5-liter gasoline engine (2NR-VEX) mated to an electric motor and a CVT.
