Toyota PH teases facelifted Hilux
Toyota Motor Philippines has had a handful of virtual launches since the COVID-19 pandemic. There was the launch of the refreshed Toyota Wigo and Vios, and just a few weeks ago, the all-new Corolla Cross.
They’re not done yet as they just teased the next launch which will be held on September 12. Based on the teaser posted on their official Facebook page, TMP will soon be introducing the much-awaited refreshed Toyota Hilux.
The silhouette of the vehicle shown in the teaser definitely matches those of the refreshed Hilux, and even the current model. We however do not know if TMP will also be launching the refreshed version of the Hilux’s SUV sibling, the Fortuner. The two were revealed to the public alongside each other in Thailand back in June this year.
The refreshed Hilux features some revised exterior design elements such as a new front grille, bumper, and headlight clusters. The available 2.8-liter turbodiesel also gets an upgrade as it now produces 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
We’re not yet sure what exact specifications the upcoming Toyota Hilux will be getting once it’s launched here. Let’s wait until the public launch which is set to be held on September 12 at 6:00 PM for more information.
