Toyota teases the all-new RAV4 a day before its release

We’ve seen a few mystery teasers of an upcoming Toyota crossover a few days back, but the brand has just confirmed a day before this model’s debut that this is indeed the next-generation Toyota RAV4, alongside a few more teasers showcasing bits and bobs of the crossover’s new appearance.

Common with all these teasers is the crossover’s even boxier appearance compared to the previous generation, which also includes the C-shaped headlights seen on the rest of the automaker’s lineup (like the Prius, Camry, and the Crown family). Then, the taillights, housed in a singular black housing, have distinct LED strips inside to act as reflectors and lighting modules.
There seem to be three variants, a standard model featured in city conditions, finished in gray that shows off a less aggressive front bumper with a trapezoidal front intake, small roof rails, and a subtle rear spoiler.

A second model is seen in winter conditions, presumably, this is the outdoor/offroad trim. This has a beefier roof rack alongside all-terrain tires shod around black alloy wheels.

The third model finished in red doesn’t show much apart from a large mesh front grille with aggressive side intakes and has a gloss black roof, wheel arches, and an even larger rear wing. This leads to a GR Sport model, which should be no surprise as the previous generation had one (in other regions).
Regardless, all will be revealed during the RAV4’s livestream tomorrow, May 21, at 10:00am, Japan Standard Time (9:00am Philippine Standard Time).
