Updated Suzuki Vitara Launching in PH on May 28, Specs and Pricing?
Around 2 months ago, we reported that it seems like Suzuki Philippines will be launching an all-wheel drive version of its compact Vitara crossover. Circulating photos of the model with Philippine conduction stickers were enough to confirm this.
While there is no announcement yet from the Japanese brand’s local counterpart, they did make an announcement on their social media pages of the launch of a new and enjoyable model, showing the a Vitara that matches the photos from our earlier report slightly covered in shadows.
So it’s confirmed, Suzuki Philippines will be launching an updated Vitara a few days from now, on May 28, 2021. Not only that, we’ve come across some information regarding the upcoming update. Keep reading to find out more about the 2021 Suzuki Vitara.
First is the new variant, the Vitara can now be had with Suzuki’s AllGrip 4WD Technology. With this, the Vitara will now be equipped with a selector knob for the 4WD system. It will also feature new driving modes which are Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock.
As for visible styling changes, for the exterior there’s new chrome side moulding on the doors, a new blacked-out rear spoiler, and a rear skid plate. Inside, it still has a large infotainment system at 10-inches in size. It does have the added functionality of a clinometer for off-roading. New security and safety features include wheel-locks with a special key to prevent theft, and hill descent control.
For pricing, the information we acquired mentions that the 2021 Suzuki Vitara AllGrip will be priced at Php 1,458,000 for the monotone variant, while the variant with a two-tone paint scheme will be priced at Php 1,468,000. Now that seems pricey but do consider that this is just leaked information. We’ll definitely find out all the information we’ll need at launch.
