When Ford Philippines launched the Ranger Raptor V6 at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show, fans of the high-performance pickup truck were pleased as it offered more power and capability than the initial version that was introduced here.

There was one caveat however, and that was its availability as it was then announced that only 300 units would be sold in our market. Thankfully, that is no longer the case as the blue oval has just announced that the Ranger Raptor V6 is now among their standard offerings.

Due to the overwhelming demand from our customers, we are excited to announce that the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 will now be a permanent addition to our performance vehicle portfolio,” said Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes. “The Raptor 3.0L V6 is a personal favorite, and I can’t wait for more customers to experience its exceptional power and unmatched versatility.”

Compared to the initially launched turbodiesel Ranger Raptor, the V6 comes with a larger and more powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 gasoline engine, producing 397 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Not only that, it also comes with adaptive dampers for its Fox suspension with 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass Shock Absorbers, and a front locking differential (in addition to the rear), all for better performance on- and off-road. An Active Valve Exhaust system is also equipped, coming with four selectable sound modes—Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Baja.

Inside, occupants will enjoy the same amount of equipment as the turbodiesel version, but with the addition of a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen (B&O) premium audio system.

Price remains the same at Php 2.739-million.

So for those planning to get their hands on a Ford Ranger Raptor V6, no need to fight for a limited number of units. Pricing remains the same at Php 2,739,000.
