Various LGUs acquire Foton ambulances
If you’ve been driving lately, other than the noticeably lighter (but still heavy) traffic, more ambulances seem to be on the road. These ambulances are most probably transporting COVID-19 patients between hospitals. It’s obvious that there is a demand for more emergency vehicles.
With this, some local government units (LGU) around the country have acquired brand-new fleets of ambulances to meet the demand for emergency transport. In particular, some of these LGUs have selected the Foton Traveller as their new fleet. These are the local governments of the provinces of Pampanga, Camarines Sur, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
The province of Pampanga has acquired a total of 11 units of the Foton Traveller Ambulance. With its wide interiors, these ambulance units have ample internal dimensions and large headroom clearance. This gives medical practitioners substantial space to properly perform and administer in any emergency. The Foton Traveller is powered by a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
On the other hand, the province of Camarines Sur and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, both acquired a number of Foton TransVan HR Ambulances. The Foton TransVan HR Ambulance is equipped with emergency necessities such as foldable wheeled stretchers, heavy duty spine board, paramedic seats and essential kits, significant in responding to emergency situations. It also has power sockets to supply electrical current to crucial equipment such as defibrillators, ECG monitor, digital sphygmomanometer or disinfection lamps, making it fit to serve in emergency situations.
These acquisitions by the local government units of Pampanga, Camarines Sur, and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan make Foton Philippines a trusted partner of the government. This also helps the company strengthen its presence in the country while its vehicles help the public.
