VinFast VF 6 vs. Mitsubishi Xforce and BYD Dolphin | How does it compare?
VinFast has just launched at the 20th Manila International Auto Show, its latest offering for the Philippine market, the VF 6 subcompact electric crossover. With its Php 1,419,000 starting price, it has a lot going for it.
Competition is stiff. As consumers, you’ll want to know which vehicle gives the best bang for the buck, so we made this comparo between it and two other notable models being sold in our market today at similar price points, the BYD Dolphin and Mitsubishi Xforce.

Dimensions and Space
Let’s start with their sizes.
The VinFast VF 6 and Mitsubishi Xforce are both B-segment (subcompact) crossovers, while the BYD Dolphin is a B-segment hatchback. All three offer excellent amounts of room for their occupants but the VinFast VF 6 is able to provide a little extra thanks to its longer wheelbase and wider width, as well as its interior packaging.

Performance
Let’s move on to performance where both the VinFast VF 6 and the BYD Dolphin are fully-electric, while the Mitsubishi Xforce is traditional with an internal combustion engine.
Among the three, the VinFast VF 6 is the most powerful and will be the quickest, offering 177 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque on tap from its single electric motor and battery setup, as well as the most driving range at 480km.
Matched with the multi-link rear suspension, the VinFast VF 3 will surely be able to offer a fun and sporty driving experience.

Exterior and Interior
Design is always subjective, but that won’t be a problem with any of these vehicles. The BYD Dolphin shows-off a cute and fun vibe, while the Mitsubishi Xforce goes for a striking and sporty in-your-face look.

Tech is no slouch in any of these vehicles, but the VinFast VF 6 offers the most from its 12.9-inch central touchscreen head unit which houses most of the vehicle’s functions and important information.
