Volkswagen PH is going to launch the Multivan Kombi

Volkswagen Philippines is finally back on its feet. Just a couple of weeks after introducing the T-Cross subcompact crossover, they’re once again announcing a new model to launch and it’s another global model.

The Volkswagen Multivan Kombi will soon be making its way to the Philippines, known as the Transporter in other markets around us like Taiwan. And for those who don’t want a Chinese-manufactured VW, our research tells us that the Multivan Kombi is built in Europe.

The iconic Kombi nameplate is about to make new memories in local soil, and will continue its journeys with a new generation of Filipino motorists as Volkswagen Philippines has just confirmed that they will bring in the Kombi this 3rd quarter of 2021.

The Kombi was likewise a popular fixture of Philippine streets starting in the late 1950s and peaked in popularity in 1970 when it contributed to a total of 6,100 Volkswagens that were sold on that year alone, hoisting the German marque up to become the number one seller in the Philippine automobile market.

With a multitude of vans from other automakers offered to the Filipino public, the Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is about to join a very popular segment.

As of now, no information other than two photos of Volkswagen Philippines’ upcoming model have been released. Just like their previous introductions of the updated Santana and T-Cross, we can expect to see more features and specifications of the Multivan Kombi as they tease it on social media as we inch closer to a launch date.
