What to expect from the second leg of the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup

It’s green and go for the second race weekend of this year’s season of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup (formerly known as the Vios Cup), happening this coming May 24 to 25, 2025 (Saturday to Sunday).
As we’ve reported before, leg 2 of the annual one-make race (OMR) series will be held at the Villar City in Cavite instead of the usual Clark International Speedway in Pampanga. This also brings the event closer to audiences in Metro Manila and the surrounding areas.
As with previous legs and seasons of the TGR Philippine Cup, there is a lot to look forward to this coming race weekend. To be held over two days, Saturday will feature the Qualifying and first Sprint Race of the weekend. Meanwhile, to be held on Sunday are the second and third Sprint Races. There will also be Drag Races, and Car Club and Gymkhana Exhibitions on both days.

The bonus for this leg is that its street circuit layout will have tight corners and long straights which will definitely make for quite the action-packed weekend.
It’s not all about racing though as visitors can also look forward to participating in various activities such as setting lap times on sim racing rigs, test driving and viewing the latest Toyota vehicles, and checking out various original GR merchandise available for purchase, food concessionaires, and entertainment. Visitors can catch performances by Rico Blanco and Parokya ni Edgar on May 24, and Ely Buendia and Bamboo on May 25.
Special event-exclusive promos on the latest Toyota models will also be available to visitors during the race weekend.
As always, entrance to the TGR Philippine Cup is free for all. All you have to do is register through this link to get your event pass. Can’t make it? Both race weekend days will be livestreamed on the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Facebook and YouTube channels.
