You may now go up to 80 kph on Skyway Stage 3, NAIAX
Those who regularly drive on the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 and NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) will know how slow traffic tends to feel with their 60 kph speed limits.
That ends now as SMC Infrastructure has announced that motorists may now go over that, up to 80 kph to be specific.
“This change will make travel on NAIAX and Skyway Stage 3 faster and more efficient for everyone. We have carefully studied this to make sure that it benefits motorists while prioritizing safety,” said SMC Infrastructure Chairman and CEO Ramon S. Ang.
Do note though that at the tollways’ several curved sections, the 60 kph speed limit will remain effective for safety purposes.
The new 80 kph speed limit is already in effect on NAIAX starting today (January 15, 2025) while it will be in effect on Skyway Stage 3 starting January 20, 2025 (Monday).
