2023 Ford Everest spotted in Pasig ahead of local launch
Looky here! Ahead of its official launch in the Philippines, we’ve spotted the all-new 2023 Ford Everest driving around Pasig City while taking some photos of a current test drive unit we’re reviewing.
There have already been a lot of sightings of its sibling, the Ranger pickup truck, around the country. Whether these are on trailer trucks, on the road, Ford dealerships, and even shopping mall parking areas. Now, the Ford Everest is joining that hype.
Coincidentally, we spotted the single unit of the 2023 Ford Everest on the location, specifically Arcovia City in Pasig City, where it is set to be launched this coming July 28, 2022 alongside the 2023 Ford Ranger. Based on what’s available in foreign markets, the unit we spotted seems to be the entry-level 2.0 Trend 4×2 A/T variant.
Ford Philippines has already confirmed the lineup and pricing for the 2023 Ford Ranger and Everest. These are as follows:
- Everest 2.0 Trend 4×2 A/T – Php 1,799,000
- Everest 2.0 Limited 4×2 A/T – Php 1,999,000
- Everest 2.0 Sport 4×2 A/T – Php 2,089,000
- Everest 2.0 Titanium+ 4×2 A/T – Php 2,179,000
- Everest 2.0 Bi-Turbo Titanium+ 4×4 A/T – Php 2,495,000
Anyway, back to what we spotted. Looking at the 2023 Ford Everest’s exterior, you can definitely see how it was designed based on its Ranger twin, which in turn was inspired by other Ford pickup trucks like the F-150 and Maverick with their new signature C-clamp headlights and muscular looking front grille. This Trend appears to have multi-reflector LED headlights, a chrome front grille bar, and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels. We’re unable to see the rear but we’re assuming that it will have LED taillights.
We also can’t see the interior but given that photos of the 2023 Ranger and foreign market Everests are already available, we can already assume what to find. Definitely coming are leather seats, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and possibly a 10-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system with Ford’s SYNC 4.
What’s under the hood is also pretty much confirmed. 4×2 variants of the Everest will be powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBlue Inline 4-cylinder Turbo Diesel that produces 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Titanium+ 4×4 will be powered by a carry-over 2.0-liter EcoBlue Bi-Turbo that produces 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
We don’t have to wait long until the 2023 Ford Everest is launched in the Philippines. Again, it’s happening on July 28 at Arcovia City. Immediately after, the general public can already test drive the all-new Everest alongside the all-new Ranger in the same place from July 29 to 31. We’re definitely excited.
