Here are the variants of the 2023 Ford Ranger in PH

2 min read

The upcoming launch of the all-new next-generation 2023 Ford Ranger is undoubtedly one of the most awaited vehicle launches in the Philippines this year, expected to happen within the next few weeks. We get our hands on a complete list of variants for the much-awaited pick-up truck for when it’s launched in the country.

This comes just after we got our hands on a possible list of variants for the Ranger’s sibling, the Everest midsize SUV which is also expected to launch in the country soon. Be sure to check that out if you haven’t by clicking here

According to our source from within the company, the all-new 2023 Ford Ranger will have seven (7) variants at launch which are as follows:

  • Ranger 2.0 XL 4×2 M/T
  • Ranger 2.0 XLS 4×2 A/T
  • Ranger 2.0 XLS 4×4 M/T
  • Ranger 2.0 XLT 4×2 A/T
  • Ranger 2.0 Sport 4×2 A/T
  • Ranger 2.0 Wildtrak 4×2 A/T
  • Ranger 2.0 Bi-Turbo Wildtrak 4×4 A/T

While nothing really is confirmed other than the Wildtrak at the moment, the XL variant line will return to the lineup as the entry-level option after being absent for a few years. This variant is oriented towards utility and will probably ride lower than all other Rangers. This will also most likely get steel wheels and halogen headlights, as well as black unpainted plastic front and rear bumpers. It will also most likely be available in a single-cab configuration.

Meanwhile, a new Sport variant joins the lineup, slotting in between the XLT and Wildtrak variants, taking the place of the FX4 in the outgoing model’s lineup. Looking at the Australian market, the Sport would get blacked-out accents all-around, mesh-type front grille, machine-finished and black two-tone alloy wheels, leather seats, and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen display. For the Wildtrak, you can read about it here

Also noticeable in the list is that all variants will now be powered by Ford’s 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel engine. The Wildtrak 4×4 will get a bi-turbo version like on the outgoing model. For the XL 4×2 M/T, it should produce 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque. On the XLS 4×2 A/T all the way to the Wildtrak 4×2, it should produce 170 hp and 405 Nm of torque while the Wildtrak 4×4 with the bi-turbo still produces 210 hp and 500 Nm. Transmission options are a 5- or 6-speed manual, and a 6- or 10-speed automatic transmission.

It is good to note that most of this information is mostly speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt but we do trust our source very well. Considering though that we could see the launch happening next month, we won’t have to wait too long to know everything about the all-new Ranger.
