All new Hyundai models in PH come with a 5-year warranty
It’s no longer a secret that the Hyundai brand is now under the management of the Hyundai Motor Company of South Korea. The new local company is called Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH).
While the lineup has changed with the new generation of the Tucson, the all-new Staria replacing the Starex, all-new Creta, refreshed Santa Fe, and discontinuation of local Accent, Reina, and Venue sales, there also comes a host of other new stuff and that includes the warranty of its models.
Customers who purchase any brand new Hyundai vehicle will be able to enjoy a 5-year or 200,000 kilometer vehicle warranty, whichever comes first. As for vehicles used for transport network vehicle services (TNVS) such as Grab or Lalamove, they will come with a 3-year or 100,000 kilometer warranty, whichever comes first.
This news was announced today by the HMPH executives during a gathering held with members of local automotive media and content creators.
“Hyundai Motor Philippines has been working on rebuilding the brand to provide excellent customer experience through the launch of a broad range of new, innovative and exciting product line-up in the Philippine market,” shared HMPH President Mr. Lee Dong Wook.
HMPH is also set to expand its network of dealers which was carried-over from the brand’s previous local distributor from 38 to 45 dealers nationwide. This is in addition to introducing other new models such as the refreshed Palisade premium SUV and Ioniq 5 electric vehicle.
As of August 2022, Hyundai Motor Philippines’ lineup consists of four (4) models namely the Creta subcompact crossover, Tucson compact SUV, Santa Fe mid-size 7-seater crossover, and Staria minivan.
The coming years are surely very exciting for the Hyundai brand in the Philippines. While the previous distributor definitely enjoyed success, the new one will have to help recover what the brand has lost over the pandemic.
