Changan PH ends 2022 with 221% sales growth
Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) ended the previous year and is welcoming the new one on a high note with several accomplished milestones and high sales growth in the brand’s second year in the Philippine automotive market.
“We started 2022 strong and ended the year on an even stronger note, thanks to the collective efforts of team Changan and our nationwide dealership network, backed by Changan International Corporation, our local business partners, and the growing number of believers in the brand,” said CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
CMPI recorded its best sales growth numbers so far at 221%, equivalent to 1,787 units sold in 2022, compared to the 557 in 2021. The company likewise achieved 100% of its sales target for wholesale.
The 1st quarter of 2022 saw the launch of the heavily revised CS35 Plus subcompact crossover which also made an appearance at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in April. The 4th quarter then came with a bang as CMPI launched its latest CS55 Plus compact crossover with a media drive to Baguio City, followed not long after by the inauguration of its new national headquarters in Calamba City, Laguna, along with the simultaneous launch of its Uni line, kickstarted by the Uni-T and Uni-K.
“We expect vigorous sales for the New CS55 Plus, while the Uni T and the Uni K work in tandem to bolster the presence of Changan Auto in the Philippines. Expect more excellent product offerings from us before the year ends,” Ms. Agudo furthered.
