Chery Auto PH on track to achieve 2023 sales target
Chery Auto Philippines, under the distributorship of United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), is seeing positive growth. The company is currently on track to achieve, and possibly surpass, its sales targets for the year.
The company attributes this success to the growing awareness in the country for the Chery brand, as well as the strong market reception for two of its crossover models, the Tiggo 5X subcompact crossover and Tiggo 8 Pro midsize crossover.
The Chery Tiggo 5X saw a total unit sales of 331 in the first quarter of 2023 which is an increase of 75% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the brand’s flagship Tiggo 8 Pro sold a total of 128 units, an 86% increase compared to the previous year.
“We are proud to be able to offer the styling, prices, and technology that even the most discriminating Filipino car buyers are looking for,” said Chery Auto Philippines Chairman Rommel Sytin. “People need reliable, safe yet affordable mobility and we have the right mix of value-packed models with luxury, comfort, and safety features to suit any need or budget,” he added.
As of this writing, Chery Auto Philippines markets a total of four crossover models. The brand and distributor are also among the pioneers of vehicle electrification in the local market and are expected to continue with new electrified versions of its current lineup coming soon.
