Toyota PH now extends new vehicle warranty to 5 years

Remember the news of Toyota Motor Philippines adding a manual transmission variant of the GR Supra? Unfortunately, that model also saw a price bump and that holds true to the rest of the lineup, except for one car.
According to this Facebook post by Toyota Bicutan, starting March 1, 2025, all models (except the Tamaraw) will receive a Php 6,000 price tag adjustment.
In exchange, Toyota Motor Philippines is making a good deal for the consumer as it extends the warranty of all Toyota models to five years or 140,000km (whichever comes first), coming from three years or 100,000km (whichever comes first).
Some things still remain the same, like how the hybrid battery warranty still remains at eight years (or 200,000km, whichever comes first), and specific models (depending on the promo) will get free periodic maintenance service (PMS). Is this a step in the right direction for Toyota?
