The latest in Philippine motoring.

Are these what Changan PH will bring to MIAS 2025?

Changan Philippines’ new “101” logo, which is the logo used by the Nevo sub-brand.

The 2025 Manila International Auto Show is looming closer, and brands are teasing show-goers with what to expect at the various booths.

Changan Philippines, under Inchcape Philippines, is one of the first few to announce what it’ll be debuting, where it will be showing off four electrified models powered by three different powertrains (battery electric, plug-in hybrid, and a range-extended electric vehicle), and three out of four will be sporting the new “101″ logo which represents the brand’s midrange electric vehicle line.

A quick Google search shows that this is the Nevo sub-brand. So, here are our guesses on what the automaker will bring over, and do take this with a huge grain of salt.

Changan Nevo Q05

This one is the most probable, as a Facebook teaser shows hints of the crossover. While this may look like a Changan CS55 Plus with a blanked-out grille, it is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor as your powertrain. With up to an 18.99kWh battery, it is capable of driving up to 1,215km on a single charge and full tank, and up to 125km on all electric power alone, rivaling the likes of the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i.

Changan S7 EV (Deepal S07)

This second one isn’t exactly new as it was previewed at the brand’s relaunch under Inchcape Philippines back in 2023, and was set to be launched in 2024 (but that never came to fruition). You can read more about it in our previous article, but in short, this SUV has an electric motor with 215 horsepower (160 kW) and a range of up to 620km on a single charge. This competes with the likes of the Tesla Model Y.

Changan Nevo E07

Making its debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the Nevo E07 is a funky, futuristic crossover with a tapered rear roofline that extends to the rear end, making it very similar to the Tesla Cybertruck in terms of profile. It’s also full of concept car-like futures such as a screen up front, and a rear end that can transform from a closed cargo bay into a pickup bed at the touch of a button.

The Nevo E07 comes as both a battery electric vehicle and a range extender EV. The BEV variant can have a power output of up to 590 horsepower, with up to a 90 kWh battery pack and up to 701km of range. Meanwhile, the REEV variant mates a 1.5-liter gas engine to act as a range extender, with a 39.05 kWh battery pack capable of up to 230km on pure electric range, and a combined 1,130km on a single tank and charge.

Changan Lumin

With microcars being a popular offering with Chinese automakers (such as the Jetour Ice Cream), it’s probably a fair guess that Changan Philippines would want a slice of that segment with its Lumin micro EV. It’s a diminutive, adorable-looking car with two doors. With up to a 47 horsepower motor, a 28.08 kWh battery pack, and up to 310km of range, this micro four-seater truly is meant for the city and should be relatively affordable as well.
