The latest in Philippine motoring.

This is the all-new 3rd generation Nissan LEAF

The Nissan LEAF may be a pioneer when it comes to fully-electric vehicles, but it has admittedly been left behind, at least here in the Philippines where you can buy better-equipped and newer EVs for the same price.

That said, it’s ripe for an all-new version and that’s one among the many vehicles that the Japanese automaker has revealed for the coming years, albeit with limited information and mostly teasers.

With only a handful of angles of the all-new LEAF, we can see that it’s a complete departure from the outgoing model with its sleeker and futuristic appearance, following trends in today’s vehicle designs.

It sits on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform, which also underpins the Ariya crossover. Nissan has also confirmed some…well, two…features. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and will include a panoramic sunroof

As for its powertrain, there is no information on that other than it will have Nissan’s new 3-in1 EV powertrain. This should help improve driving range which in all honesty is subpar on the outgoing model at only 311 km for the Philippine-spec version.

Nissan will be revealing more information on the all-new Nissan LEAF by the middle of this year. We’re also guessing that a big unveiling could take place at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS) which is happening by the end of October.
