MIAS 2025 | VinFast expands in PH with the VF 6 subcompact electric SUV

VinFast is set to once again electrify the Philippine market, this time with the introduction of the VF 6 fully electric subcompact crossover at the 20th Manila International Auto Show.

One of the top-selling vehicles in the brand’s home market of Vietnam, the VinFast VF 6 has a lot to offer. It’s offered in two variants, the Eco priced at P1,419,000 and Plus priced at P1,610,000 with the Eco to commence deliveries in May 2025.

Starting with what moves it, that’s a single electric motor with choices between two states of tune. The Eco variant produces 201 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, while the Plus gets a torque bump up to 310 Nm.

Both are paired to a 59.6kWh battery pack, which allows for a driving range of up to 480km (Eco) or 460km (Plus) on a single charge.

Design-wise, the VinFast VF 6 is definitely at home in the brand’s lineup, wearing similar styling cues as models like the VF 5 and VF 7. It gets striking V-shaped signature daytime running lights and slim automatic LED taillights, which form a V towards the center. Matched with body cladding and 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels (depending on the variant), it all gives this a distinct appearance.

Inside, the VinFast VF 6 is sleek and minimalist. A 12.9-inch central touchscreen conveniently houses most vehicle functions and minimizes the number of buttons. Speaking of buttons, right below the central air conditioning vents is its piano key-style gear selector and electronic parking brake.

The VinFast VF 6 also provides advanced safety for its driver and occupants. It comes standard with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Assist, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, and Level 2 Highway Assisted Driving.

Curious about the VinFast VF 6? See it in the metal at the 20th Manila International Auto Show until April 13 (Sunday) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. Doors are open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
