ACMobility inaugurates EV charging station in northernmost town of mainland Luzon

Going on very long road trips with an EV in the Philippines is becoming closer to reality as ACMobility expands its EV charging infrastructure with the opening of a new charging station in the town of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.
Located at the Agua Grande Mini Hydro Power Plant in the town’s Barangay Panziann, the new charging station is currently the northernmost EV charging station in the country, and is located approximately 450km north of Manila. It is also the first EV charging station in the province of Ilocos Norte.
It is operated in partnership with the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (INEC) which is the province’s electricity provider, along with the Masinloc Power Partners, Co. Ltd. (MPPCL) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD).

The INEC EV charging station consists of two CC2 (DC) charging slots providing up to a 120kW charging output, operating from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. According to the Evro app, use of the station is currently free of charge.
ACMobility currently operates a total of 226 charging points across 96 locations around the country. 10 new locations are expected to be operational this month which puts the company on-track to reach its goal of having more than 700 charging points around the Philippines before the end of 2025.
