Mitsubishi to launch production DST at GIIAS 2025

Remember when Mitsubishi Motors previewed the DST Concept at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show? We don’t often get huge launches and previews like these on our shores, but this is a sign of Mitsubishi’s commitment to Southeast Asia by introducing them, well, in Southeast Asia first.
This explains why we might see the production model of the DST at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, which will take place on July 24, 2025.

According to these posts by Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia and the official page of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, it pretty much confirms that we will be seeing the production version of the DST concept at the show, with the word Destination emphasized.

Going by Mitsubishi’s tradition of calling its concept vehicles acronyms for the production variant (such as the XFC = Xforce), rumors point to it being called the Destinator.

To reiterate what we know about it, it is a seven-seater, three-row unibody crossover. It’s expected to have more things in common with the Xforce than a Montero Sport/Triton, so we’ll most likely see the same 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated gas engine or a hybrid setup similar to the one used in the Xpander, Xpander Cross, and Xforce Hybrid, alongside other features like the Dynamic Sound Yamaha sound system.
We’ll soon find out next month when the vehicle launches, and hopefully, we’ll be able to try it out soon.
